    So you have crystalised a capital gain @ 63 cents for which you will pay tax. Now you wish to buy back at 53 cents because u want to own this stock moving forward. You have said as much anyway.

    So either you have carried forward capital losses you are anxious to utilise or you have very bad tax advice.

    Selling for profit then immediately trying to re-enter the stock is something the tax man loves.
