That is correct.
No one can recycle graphite.
EGR claim they recycle, but in trurth they recycle the scrap graphite that is junked during sphericalization and then melt that down to be reused. Not taking a used battery and getting the graphite out of it to reuse, which currently seems texhnically impossible to do.
Battery recycling is focused on other metals eg nickle, cobalt.
