DLE might become a competitor one day but as of today there is no meaningful production yet. The only project that seems to be close to commercial production is Standard Lithium and that is just 20k LCE/year. The other projects are hopefuls with shiny announcements on lab scale progress. Years missing and DLE is not a drop in tech. You have develop the specific tech for each resource new since each brine has a different composition.
I root for the success of these projects but for the next 3-5 years spodumene will have to fill the supply gap.
