- You have (purposefully?) misquoted as 90 million apartments.... Chinese whispers huh?
- Everyone knows there are empty apartments, but at least get your shit right.
- The original source for this is so vague its not even funny.
- Original source appears to be Cao from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences who stated up to 65.4 million empty apartments based on electricity meter reading data from the power company as well as calculations based on data like vacancy rates.
