You'd think that Morningstar would include a sanity check in their algorithm, that flags the stock to a human analyst if algorithm disagrees with the market for too many days or even weeks in a row. That's the ultimate evidence that Morningstar deserves our scorn: that aspect of their 'reporting' is truly a gimmick and they have no aspirations for it to be genuinely useful.
I feel bad for anyone who invests based on their algorithm. Someone should organise a class action suit against them for investment funds lost because of it. They should be bound by law to disclose prominently that the algorithm is crude and very, very often wrong... LOL. I'd love visiting their page if that disclaimer were there, it would be a hoot.
