Hi Bleasby and all. This si what I have found out
and its in response to "More important are the current production figures produced by Blinderman/Ergo at Majuba in South Africa (Eskom). If anyone can point me in the direction of some I would appreciate it. If they are reaching commercial volumes I would consider buying some CXY. I would be a lot happier if CXY would dispense with all the talk of large scale electricity production (200-400MW staged). "
The size of the generators are alligned with what Eskom have planned and I would suggest that CXY will exchange information with Eskom.
Sasol has also jumped on the bandwagon and are startin down this track at Secunda
Eskom appear to have stalled their original plans no doubt due to conflicting interests
Sasol and UCG are better alligned IMO and I think pose less conflict of interest and Sasol will most likely overtake Eskom's progress.
Having said that ESKOM have established a pilot and it has run since Jan 2007 and was used to generate a modest 100KW pwer to prove the concept.
Aslo fo interest is that both SASOL and Eskom have engaged
Bohlweki-SSI Environmental to undertake environmental impact Assessments. This was done early this year. I have no doubt that CXY are aware of this
Frankly I think ESKOM are just toying around with this and SASOL are the ones to watch after all Sasol is all about producing oil from coal and they are the woprld leader in this area so UCG is imminently alligned.
So where are we ? It seems that CNX is the most advanced (as I have always thought) but CXY has very powerful allies, is undervalued, can tap into the Ergo Exergy experience base and can play catchup.
Of course we also have Chinchilla flare that went on for a very long time using Ergos technology (shame that, was on the cusp)
So its all still semi R&D and not IMO commercial volumes as yet (imo)
Nothing has convinced me to sell CXY just yet but the above research does show a road map and the risks
Good luck
