It could be, but most of the transactions you mention do not have to go through the ASX. The trades are being made Public for a reason. I am just speculating that weak hands can be tipped by smart people pretending that heavy trading is taking place at a price that it isnt. If you look at the rest of the days trading, it would seem to be working.....
