posters, sorry for backtracking but after reading my post i put up minutes ago I couldnt help to realise that the article is baffling- refer to this part-( link in my previous post for copyright purposes)
Perth-based Central Petroleum sees GTL as an opportunity to monetise potentially vast fields of undiscovered gas – conventional and CSM – in the Northern Territory’s remote Pedirka, Amadeus and Georgina basins. In its most recent quarterly report, the company said estimates of
undiscovered gas in place were enough to support a GTL plant with capacity of 140,000 barrels per
day for 70 years. Managing director John Heugh said this capacity would be equal to the world’s largest GTL
production facility – the Pearl plant being jointly developed by Shell and the Qatar Government at a
cost of about $US10 billion. He said independent studies for Central Petroleum indicated that GTL production would be profitable at levels of greater than $US40 per barrel, based on conventional gas, and $US45/bbl based on
CSM.
only after reading it did i actually realise that these figures bodes well for all holders should the company become fruitful in proving reserves, but JH was only discussing GTL based on ugip estimates
not even the UCG potential of 1 trillion tonnes of coal probable lol- the potential as the facts state is uncomprehendable to say the least-
just as a side note, in previous addresses, John Heugh has eluded to the fact that there were other Joint Venture possibilties to farm into our tenements reducing our commitments financially- play close attention to BOC imho- yes they already have a HOA with central petroleum in regards to our helium prospects but we are now in a much stronger financial position then when the HOA was agreed upon and drilling of the Magee Helium prospect is imminent-BOC could may well see that Central Petroleum is finally gathering steam and attention both locally and internationally and could possibly be one of the other JV partners that JH has alluded to in previous BRR talks-
purely my opinion, however with a HOA already in place with Central Petroleum regarding our Helium, obviously BOC gases (part of the LINDE GROUP a world leader in its field) already have the confidence that our probable helium assets are potentially one of global significance
