zinc and lead outlook for 2010

interesting to see although a 5.4% fall in zinc prooduction this year they predict 8.1% increase in zinc production next year.

"A forecast 5.4% fall in global zinc mine output to 11.08 million tonnes this year is
due to a number of cutbacks and closures mostly implemented at the end of last
year. Significant reductions are expected in Australia, China, Peru, Portugal and
the United States.
14. In 2010, mine output is forecast to increase by 8.1% to 11.97 million tonnes. An
increase in Mexico will be mainly due to the opening of Goldcorp’s 190,000 tonne
per year capacity Pensaquito mine. Production is also expected to be higher in a
number of other countries including Australia, China, Finland, India, Iran and the
