Yeh, ASX would be better off just having a fee for the entire options process with a defined close date eg; conversions are reported automatically to AVR when payment is received and they in turn submit details to ASX who then publish COB of that day.
ASX platform, rules etc are a bit backward if you ask me, needs some deep diving reforms.
