Interesting article in todays Fin Review indicating British group International Power, want taxpayers to fund the closure of the the coal fired Hazelwood power station in the Latrobe Valley.
The article indicates a green light for its closure would be a major boost for gas providers and other alternative energy sources such as wind farms, which would become more competitive.
No specific mention of Ceramic Fuel Cells in the Article, but their acceptance and use would receive a major boost if decommmisioning of coal fired power stations was enacted.
Something to keep an eye on , will be interesting to see how it plays out
