Yes, ASX does however there are many companies who get away with promotional Announcements and ASX does nothing.

In such cases, companies usually wrap it up with another 'minor' announcement to 'fill-it out' into a broader, more substantial Announcement that the company states makes it important/price sensitive.

Also, notice I referred to ASX/media release ...even if you don't issue an ASX Announcement, the procedure would be to issue a Media Release to relevant mainstream, trade and investor publications.

On this front NOTHING appears in the media or on Twitter as yet ...even AFP/Bloomberg would have been at the PM's media conference and would have issued a quick BRIEFs on PM's comments AND on the relevant company. The fact that they haven't demonstrates MX1's media relations is poor/non-existant.
