In regards to other companies; Edwards and Medtronic get mentioned a lot in connection with Anteris. My thoughts are, and possibly incorrect, is that it goes against their self-interests (which is quite ironic).

That self-interest being that the IP they currently have has had hundreds of millions invested in it, that as incumbent giants they have a market dominance in this field, a market dominance that could be impacted by how much before they would have to seriously consider the prospect of acquisition?
Their lobby groups would have a huge influence on the parties that purchase this IP, that a product is not ‘best in market’ has not stopped them before.

That the Anteris IP, if on par with their IP, would justify the above status quo, that it well exceeds their IP certainly puts a cat among the pigeons, it would in effect possibly make their IP effectively redundant if they were to switch over to the Anteris science.

My thoughts are that it would be a ideal acquisition for a third party, with sufficient clout, to acquire Anteris and hit the ground running big time.
Not sure but would Boston Scientific be that candidate, especially after the recall of their own product.

The way this science has progressed and is still progressing should make this company a ‘gift’ for a third party that wishes to be a future major player in this field.

In the interim the funding (to go the distance) most definitely needs to be sorted out, it does niggle me that the company is still raising money at current levels and with overhang of options at similar levels.
