I took a quick look at nearby wells tested in the Kingia Formation. As we would expect, the higher the choke size selection, the higher the flow rate, despite reported permeabilities ranging from >10mD (Waitia-2, Waitsia-3) to 430mD at WE-4...permeabilities (green), net gas pay (red). Given Lockyer Deep-1 has the highest reported formation pressure and highest reported permeabilities to date of the wells below, in my humble opinion LD-1 would have the potential to produce >100mmscf/d if the JVP wanted to flow the well at the rate. Potential sanding problems at high flow rates will clearly be considered by the JVP. What could limited the flow rate at LD-1, is if there is potential formation damage and hence skin, due to the delays / cemented problems.
Bring on the test!!!
Kind regards OldGeo
