Eventually, in many scientists opinion judging on how it’s acting so far, the Omicron variant shall become the “alpha” or the top dog of Covid-19 coronavirus strains in the World.After finding new cases of Omicron in the United Kingdom, the government has immediately announced new measures to target the new Covid variant (Omicron).PCR tests for everyone entering the UK are immediately re-introduced and ALL PASSENGERS will have to self-isolate, even if fully vaccinated, for the first 3-4 days until they’re given all clear.
If the Omicron is resistant to the current vaccines, which some scientists fear it is, then I think the FDA shall probably grant an immediate EUA to Mesoblast/Novartis and make a massive order through Barda for Remestemcel-L to assist with the huge spike in Covid ARDS cases in the USA. I am sure Silviu has already been talking to Novartis about this. Maybe we shall hear more about this at the AGM tomorrow.
