If you've only had 1,000 shares and applied for the full quota, why did you only have 1,000 shares?
If it was a good investment, and you had $30k to spend, surely you'd have more than 1,000 shares that you could have bought for well below $1.25 a few short weeks ago. You would have then received a bigger allocation.
I think it is more than fair that the longer term holders with larger investments (more risk) are the ones that should benefit from the price arbitrage(the superannuation situation aside).
