this is in the white collar world in general industries / management structure.
if you work for a smaller / specialised company than wages will be more, but this makes up a smaller slice of the pie.
and funny enough a lot of blue collar trades people earn more than general white collar folk.
I am shocked that teachers earn $60K are you sure of this figure? I actually know teachers at high schools and they dont earn this!!!
