certainly the ACCC was hoping WOW would enter the hardware market as a new player and start up supply chains and the like from scratch. Surely this is not exactly a reasonable thing to expect, the sticking point i can imagine will be the possibility of conflicts of interest with WOW supplying both small independents and its "big box" style stores in a similar proximity. I don't want to speculate either way but even if WOW does not obtain permission to absorb DKS it does now control the company. I suspect that there will be some posturing from the ACCC and some comprimises but ultimately the deal will get through. However it seems that the market does not seem too concerned with WOW being up against the trend today
