I dont think ASC is a legaly shortable stock on the ASX.

However I am sure there is a lot of it going on in the market.

If the stock is not legal to short what is there to stop a broker from selling today,pushing the price down and buying back before the close,at a lower price. They can cover themselves by having a client that owns the shares who will say they were his/her shares.

Quite often I have seen desperate buy orders at the close, after a fall in the shareprice, only to see the price fall further the next day.

There are a lot of dirty tricks in this game and it is just another reason why all players in the market should have access to who the buying and selling broker are.

Is there any other type of market where the buying/selling agents are not disclosed.
