I had just read this article on the Sermitsiaq website, so was very pleased to see it posted on to HC. As I have repeatedly said, whether GML can progress at Kvanefjeld, will depend ultimately on economics and politics. With a razor thin majority, IA are on fragile ground, always with the threat of losing their coalition's majority. However, a note of caution, having seen this in other political situations, that if governments fail too soon in their term of office, the electorate can take an unrealistically sympathetic view and re-elect them. Sometimes with a seesaw effect, between two major parties, and finally the incumbent party loses by a substantial margin.
However, I now think it possible that the GoG will negotiate with GML, and the conversation between Naaja Nathanielsen and the company can only be a good thing, and that reason and common sense will eventually prevail to the benefit of all, and particularly Greenland.
