Retail shareholders were 180M shares approx (stated as 20% of the holdings).
In the last few days we got past this count and with todays count 120M in 2 hours means that some institutional holders are selling out.
- The point i want to make is boards make out inst. holders as these gods who must be obeyed and given preferably treatment (many SPP have been scaled back while Inst. were not). An inst. holder can crippled the price for ages while they offload (this happened with APZ)
- Why don't boards place some restrictions on inst. share holdings not to sell for X period after a raising ?
- Also why don't inst. try to do an off market share transfer, i am sure on average they would get a better price, than the big sell offs..
