Short answer, no. Maybe I'm cynical, but I see little point. I've tried in the past with different companies but haven't found much value in it yet. I know the arguments for doing it (making your own judgements about personnel, getting extra info, etc), but I have an inate distrust of salespeople and I don't want to risk being influenced. A CEO is essentially a salesperson/spokesperson for a company to my mind. It's their job to instill confidence in others. I don't want my judgement to be clouded by that.
