I am a lay person. I looked at the Oyster and I would like to know how you think that it looks simpler than a bobbing buoy? It doesn't really get more simple than that does it?
Also, just like cancer there is no 'one' treatment for the problem right now, but compared to a lot of other technologies that I have looked into, this looks solid (Pelamis, for example, just looks silly). Perhaps it is a testament to this particular idea that the Oyster is doing well, and encouraging that Carnegie has developed something similar.
I'll leave the rest to others who know more than I!
