But of course this thread should not be exclusively about anti-vaxx but more broadly about selfishness vs altruism and where the happy medium lies for happy individuals & a just society .
-narcissism -antisocial self interest-healthy self interest consideration for others-noble altruism-excessive altruism and so on.
For example a socially alienated person may disregard others in his/her pursuit of self-interest while a pathologically altruistic person may damage his/her self in their pursuit of altruism .
No doubt the current Royal Commission into suicides in the armed forces will broach on institutionalised pathological altruism vs the individuals right to healthy self interest.. (remember the closing scenes from "A Few Good Men"
