It may be worth looking at the fingerprints left when changes in significant shareholdings are declared viz the patterns of buys and sells.
We assume that they use bots-probably true- so may show a pattern, but if one were to discover a pattern,not sure if it would be worth trading unless you have a few mill and nothing better to do.
In the long term it should be the stock fundamentals - which is what you allude to.
