Tiresias: Sticking with it.

The year is winding down, the plague repercussions are slowly abating, and we are entering that quiet time in the markets. Bitcoin is fluctuating. Optiscan share price is in a bit of a range, but only for the moment. Tiresias has a feeling, a very good feeling. You see my friends, what Tiresias lacks in eyesight he has in foresight. He has vision. In his mind’s eye he sees what is at hand. He has other senses. You all understand how when an area of the brain which is used for one sense is deprived of that sense it is co-opted into other uses. If vision is impaired, the visual area and its associated areas of the brain, which occupy fully one third of the cerebral cortex, are devolved into other functions. So it is with Tiresias.

Tiresias foresees the time is fast coming for Optiscan. Histopathological cancer screening in the outpatient clinic, and in vivo real time laser microscopy in the operating theatre for surgical resection of malignant tumours will change and will soon revolutionise cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Things are obviously happening on many fronts. Only today Tiresias learnt of yet another study for the use of real-time digital non-invasive optical confocal laser microscopic analysis in neurosurgery. You are all aware that the breast-cancer study is completed, and we are awaiting results. Last week you saw the meta-analysis of the use of confocal laser endomicroscopy in head and neck surgery. This is not to mention all the other huge needs such as gastroenterology. The whole world of digitalisation and artificial intelligence/ machine learning in pathology is underway and beckons. Tiresias became aware, just this past week, that Sonic put $AUD120million into an AI startup for application of AI in medicine. Tiresias suspects that they need to put a lot more into OIL to prevent their own KODAK moment. Tiresias hopes that somebody and soon will point this out to Sonic management. They are on a nice little earner for the moment, but a very lucrative trough from which they feed right now could be very quickly snatched.

But this just touches on a few things. There are many studies and much progress underway; some are near completion, and some have been completed. Tiresias foresees that this quiet time, this little healthy pull-back is the last buying opportunity at or near these levels.
