I recall there was talk (by JB?) of growing the business and then being bought out.
Soaking up the shares at prices the Directors consider way too cheap removes the risk that someone is secretly stocking up ready to launch an attack! Perhaps.
Or the Directors just want to make more money on the re-rate! More rewards for their hard work in growing the business!
