How we got to where we are now is worthy of a Hollywood epic.

The initial business model was to be a pure IP licensing company rather than having a hardware product.

A couple of years ago, we had to jettison all "non-core" projects and put all hands to the pumps to develop Akida - we discontinued promotion of the award-winning BrainChip Studio software (https://brainchipinc.com/brainchip-studio-awarded-new-product-of-the-year-for-video-analytics-by-security-todays-panel-of-independent-judges-brainchip-220817/) - we even jettisoned a newly established marketing department.

I think the collapse of the casino deal due to a take-over of the casino group company, drove us perilously close to the rocks. Added to that was the fact that our plan to only licence the IP overestimated the courage and capabilities of potential customers. There were no buyers without show-and-tell.

I think the whole BrainChip crew didn't sleep for 12 months while they pulled the company back from the brink.

But every cloud ...

We now have a product which is superior to what we had back then, and which today surprises even our own experts by exceeding their performance expectations.

PS: It is the lack of an announced IP licence with CISCO which earns your post a reluctant ogre:

Could be correct but having announced the Cisco research agreement if as Mr. Dinardo stated in the link witH my earlier Valeo post that someone was still persisting with Studio with Brainchip’s involvement in January, 2020 and given what DaveNess has described are trials it might just possibly get around the need for the announcement you rely upon.

Not really an opinion more an alternative view of the known information.
