there certainly are differences in terms of incarceration rates. Also the indigenous population were not even counted in the nations census until 1971. As one indigenous woman pointed out today she recalls how they were not allowed to freely move and needed a permit to move to another location. The racism was horrendous and though advances have been made discrimination still exists.
