slave...where is the location of your houses..or interests...nsw, vic ? I have a friend..who just purchased a 'dog box ' in a small country town...period house, double sided Victorian...on a 1800 block...they are hoping to get council approval for a couple of those units, put them out the back....and rent them out as B&B, or even backpackers...the house and land cost about 80k's... needs some work, mainly cosmetic and modernisation.....but not a load of money... I know it will not look like a dog box for long its only half hour between two regional cities....and the XPT train passes thru... oh and the droughts broken...does not appeal to me, but they are looking for the quiet life...tree changers they have been in FNQ for many years, ran restaurants etc guess we might be amazed at how many visitors go looking for the quiet country life...for a weekend break etc cheers
