I think you might just have a teeny little bit of baggage clouding your judgement, as can be detected by the RUDE shouting.

However if you look at 5 years, I think you"ll find you are right about the sp wrt CVN, but wrong wrt VPE (remembering the share consolidation).

Regardless my main point was it depends where you draw the line, and these oilers can be very influenced by one-offs that might not be representative of past or future, eg for CVN the discovery of the volcanics play, for VPE csg, and for CUE who knows...Artemis??

If your main concern is conflict of interest for Tweedle well then please spell it out, as I suspect few of of us here have seen any evidence of it. To the contrary from my observation the Todd association has only been good for CUE to date. But please, make your case.

As for the most savvy in Aussie, well they are spoilt for choices to be blunt, but in the junior oil patch the best seems to've come out of the few NZ oil fields, and yes both of these are offshore where the drilling is much more expensive than onshore, but the geology just happens to be better. Plus in the case of Tui the economics astounding. Looks like Maari might just provide some decent competition though.

As for my interests, I have no association with Todds, CUE or any related party, apart from owning a nice chunk of CUE that I bought on market between 9.5 and 14.5 cps earlier this year. Would I buy now at 26 cps? NO. Am I selling any, or have I in the past 12 months. NO.

You want underperformance, take a look at ROC and PSA which I fortunately ditched a couple of years ago at 4 or 5 times current sp. Sure CUE hasn't had a smooth ride either, but there was the Jeruk disapointment, the GFC, and until now it hasn't had that longterm oil flow which Maari provides.

I make no apologies for crunching numbers, better than crunching gripes.
