Thanks @setfire2thehive, not sure if you picked up but this isn't for Mt Clere. This is a new discovery at Rand in NSW - Lachlan Fold Belt, down towards Albury end.
I think you're probably right re mixed recovery rates, perhaps similarly at AR3 too where the case is not definitive yet that they have ionic clays. I think, in either case, it may not matter too much in the long run so long as there's sufficient scale of weak bonded REEs - it's not so much that it's clays that matters as the cheap breaking of the bonds, weak bonded REES in any form are going to be a better proposition than hard rock.
P.S you do understand it fairly decently, I view you as our HC lay expert actually on this stuff hence the tag. thanks for an initial response.
