I check a couple of sites for price , however must admit , I am still confused as to what is the Met coal price and more importantly what it actually means for CRN. I understand that CRN is locked into future contracts ranging from 3- 6 months and for key US customers locked into a 12 month fixed price starting each November ( last locked price $us 187 per ton , as I recall).
perhaps we use this thread for clarification and update/discussion on latest price movements.
The latest prices I am aware from the sites I check each day
Trading Economics - ZAL1 Dec 8 $us159 per ton , I believe this is Met coal Investing.Com Coal Ap12 $us 129.05 Newcastle coal $us154.10 Coking Coal CNY 2590 ( do not understand this as it is about US 400, especially as it pertains to CRN) ZCE thermal coal CNY 812 ( $US 130)
