"Prime Minister Scott Morrison is hoping to win the votes of aspirational home owners by announcing an expansion of the first home buyers scheme. The program helps those with deposits of between two and five per cent purchase their first home.Mr Morrison will announce an extra 4,651 places on Thursday when he visits the Victorian seat of Corangamite which Labor holds by a margin of just one per cent.He says the pandemic has interrupted the plans of many home buyers and the expansion will help more to acquire their first property."
As if the property market needs more fuel. If you can barely put 2-5% down as deposit, you shouldn't be thinking about a property purchase, particularly when the banks will pump up interest rates as we head into next year.
When will Scomo learn that he can't ride both horses..
