I'm massively in favour of expert panels..... and fair enough, other aspects of an epidemic within our states also need to be considered.
yet an economy cannot properly function if medical problems cause severe disruption to the economy.
this is why medical expertise is required to demonstrate the exact nature of the threat and to make recommendations, or in this case , emergency powers decisions as the top priority for actioning. Politicians can then work around the necessary restrictions.
why would anyone want medical decisions to be made by politicians, or other experts, when they have inadequate knowledge or experience dealing with such matters?
