    well, I've been trialing the water and very strict Keto since last tuesday

    I have a clear difference - I don't use scales - but, it's extremely easy to see shape - and feel shape, I can feel my abdominal bulge or not bulge when I lie flat in bed.

    I've never had a problem changing shape - losing fat is easy when something triggers a real decision in my head. Building muscle is easy when the same trigger fires, and where I really excel is putting on weight by eating and drinking - oh, I'm in V high distinction territory there.

    I've always had a portion control problem. I eat about 2 to 3 times what is recommended and if I've been looking after myself and getting the exercise that my body responds well to - usually means walking 20+ km a day or cycling close to 30 km a day etc -- then, my mouth goes into this sort of automatic act with my nose and eyes in a triple act - so, walking through a store - any sight, smell or stimuli of calories - will result in a little voice which says 'grab that, --- we'll have that' 'yes, that's what I want' etc etc.

    My only defense to this historically is that in the shop - I can say no - and I have rarely gone out of the house especially to feed a craving - meaning that - some people might get some sort of craving in the late evening for an ice cream - so, they would walk or drive to somewhere and get it - I've close to literally never done that - thank god.

    But, the big fail is - if it's in the fridge or on the bench or in the cupboard - then, it's history - regardless of my best conscious intentions - if my body is in hungry/crave mode - then, nothing will stop it - as I walk by something - it just gets inhaled.

    so - the last week - I may well have found a key --------- the water trick.

    Without proof, but, I suspect that the real value for me will be when on a 'normal' diet --- if I use the water ----- I do not believe that I could possibly inhale so much - even when I have a craving - all I will have to do is to ingest about 500 ml H2O (350 seems to work well enough) -------- and, I 'easily' achieve taking in less than a normal portion size - which is a hell of a comedown from double or worse.


    so - we shall see how it goes when I get back to 'normal'
