I think your fourth question answered your third question.
Why would they close early, as stated, if heavily oversubscribed, without knowing to be oversubscribed.
And I suspect you know the answer to questions one and two.

For someone who claims it "odd" for company reps to post here, you seem to revel in the feedback.
Just stick to official announcements for your info might be best. You did say that too.
