Trying to formulate a list that i can store going forward of potential tax deductions for share traders.
Please feel free to add:
- Brokerage
- Computing:
Computer, Printer, Fax, Internet, Computing equipment
- Office equipment:
Desk, lights, chair, desk (can depreciate as capital items)
- Motor Vechile:
Depreciation, Petrol
- Phone
- Travel
Flights, accommodation, transfers (travel must be shown to be related to share trading activities, eg, overseas conference on options trading, implied vol seminar?)
- Bank Fees
- Interest on any debt/gearing.
- Company Registration fee
- Accountancy Fee's
- Legal Fee's
- Management Fees
- Employee expenses
Wages/Salary, any associated expenses...
- Home Office expenses ($0.26 per house of 'work')
- Books, Subscriptions?
Have i missed anything? Anything else? Please feel free to ADD ANYTHING I MAY HAVE MISSED...
Thought a list like this would be of interest to thousands of members.
Also, i think the mod's should set up a TAX thread under 'TAX'. Perhaps even put a dollars sign next to any CPA registered accounts (wait, actually no, heaven forbid, do not do that...lol)
