I totally agree, I don't see where the outflow of money goes to except resource companies? As you say cash will be useless, bonds will be useless, they need to somehow keep there outflow of capital gains at a height that there purchasing power remains. Normally this has historically been gold.
And when the demand outways the supply prices increase.
