The absorbers can't keep producing at the 34/36 rate for long without fouling. After some trial and error, they figured by running both absorbers at 22.5 and at 34 now 36 while the other is being cleaned (3 days) will produce the maximum gas each month at the best cost to best meet their GSA obligations. Also cleaning absorbers isn't cheap.
