In fact Noel it did go down as low as 22.5 cents last time they were sold off after the share placement. You should go back and read some of your old threads around this time. I think you will find you made this very claim.
From the 25/06/2009
It does appear that there are some of the “sophisticated investors” have very slippery hands. It is particularly disappointing given that as the press and analysts have noted, that a deal with Xstrata could be struck any day now. It is even more disappointing given that a reasonable percentage of the new stock went to existing holders. At least we can be certain that the largest holder has not sold any.
Even you were disappointed.
Maybe some people panicked and sold at this time and took whatever price they could lowering the price below 23.5 cents. Who knows. Remember there are amateurs using the Share Market.
This is how I got into this debate. Price before last share placement 30c. Sold down to 22.5 not long after.
So I started a thread asking the Question will it happen this time. Simple question.
Ozanderson I'm holding Long term but if Exs has a trend of pulling back at 30 cents and you can sell and then get back in at a lower price you are doing well. I have friends who hold and everytime it pulls back they say "We should of taken some profit".Thats only natural. One day it will run well past 30 cents and people will get caught not holding. But that is what happens everyday of the trading week. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. But I think its drawing a long bow to blame these Sellers for keeping the price down. But who really knows.
