Hi Batman0480. You point is well made.

I fear that - as supply deal doors are closing on first class lithium companies who tick all the boxes, environmentally being the latest and possibly greatest - a "second class" market could develop. This will be the lithium markets dark web. Now a western hard rock lithium company will have the worlds spotlights on it from day one and any breaches will be front page fodder. But if you are backed by a whole country, who shall remain nameless, desperate to maintain its dominant role as a EV producer it is tempting to unregulated the whole supply chain if one felt the need thereof. The lithium market is opaque right now and it will take years for it to become as mainstream as ,say, iron ore. An effective regulatory body looking into ethical lithium production which is approved by all producing countries is even further away. Enter the cowboys. Right now it appears the strongest and most effective "weapon" there is to get production off to an ecologically sound start is the voke angry masses smartphone in hand lead by miss Thunberg.
