Tell me how off takes work? BHP has a deal with WSA currently…in perpetuity? I think not. So BHP could in fact lose the WSA concentrate, highly probable if IGO gets control. Not saying BHP bids but that off take is not theirs forever and in the current scenario is at risk.
And your last line “it’s a done deal, price irrelevant almost” says a lot about your expertise in financial markets. Mate, seriously, this game is about investment returns which are calculated based on price out versus price in. Price is ultimately the only thing that matters.
And price matters more than personalities. Twiggy, Creasy the Nickel King(wtf?), BHP…that crap is irrelevant.

p.s. I have no idea what will happen from here. Wyloo might block or bid, IGO might stand firm…or walk away etc anything is possible.

BHP won't get Cosmos concentrate from IGO.

It will go to Trifigura or other Korean battery makers (Kwinana lithium hydroxide offtake).

PB is going to build his own direct nickel sulphate plant & skip BHP's smelting. Make it greener and cheaper to produce.
