A lot to digest in this announcement. A first impression is the results are disappointing and may in fact drop the MRE at Calibre though that is a poorly researched idea. Annotating figures from Calibre and Rimfire gives an idea of why this may be the case.

Plan view of Calibre with possible section lines.

The sections are said to be EW and the coordinates support this. However, I wonder how selective the window width is as the orange line would be a better fit for X 34-38. Similar considerations for the others as well.

Blue traces are pending assays with Hole 41 the one I would hope for interesting (=?better) results. Deep sections of 40? Any unexpected areas would be a real bonus IMO.

For those interested I recommend using this diagram and cross referencing the assays given in the announcement.

There does seem to be a variability in assay results from year to year. IMO subjectively:

2015 was better than 2019 which surprised me on the low side and RM couldn't offer any logical reason for it.

2020 ?better than 2021 (so far) though comparing apples with apples for 20-19 and others shows the south end of the MRE is likely to be poor and patchy.

Why did Rio prepare so many drill pads and then not drill some 50% at Calibre (13 out of ~30 sites)?
The coverage and results broadly support this view.

MRE's 1, 2, 3 and area of interest for 2021 3a. Blue arrows all assays received. Yellow Partials, red pending. again poorly defined.

Most obvious reason could be visuals etc from the first holes were not too encouraging.

A lot of drilling has happened at Winu and Ngapakarra. Some impact on Calibre?

I was surprised hole 29 was only 559m. From sentinel it appeared the rig was on site for a long time and I predicted 1 Km. Slow penetration and associated higher costs are another possible explanation for less drilling than may have been planned.

Telfer is positively balmy by comparison with Marble Bar (LOL) as a lot of activity winds down for this season.

Hole 17-91 only has Zn anomalism. Cross checked the original coordinates and that's where they plot.

The above mass of information all needs to be considered for any further work by the JV.

Calibre and Rimfire still need a significant amount of drilling IMO. The grades and thicknesses may be borderline at Rimfire but a wide area to be checked. Calibre may have lost some shine.

Magnum and the Magnum dome area as one poster mentioned seems to be the best area to focus. I haven't crunched the Magnum holes in any detail yet.

Very few of the other targets are likely to move Rio's level of interest though some warrant extra if the Havieron principle is taken into account.

The isolated hole Shines2 spotted SW of the camp may even be a water bore for the camp rather than an exploration hole as it does not show up in the announcement.
