Querying (or complaining about) the board putting out a statement denying they were contemplating what they then went ahead and commenced doing a mere TWO trading days later isn’t downramping or emotional. Rather, it’s an unwillingness to automatically roll over, bite the pillow, and then feel wedged into keeping quiet about it for fear of someone else saying it will have share price impact or of the brigading that will inevitably occur here. The regular handful of first responders who appear without fail to claim every single move that management makes is always in hindsight spot on (including denying speculation that is proven to be correct) and, conversely, perfectly foreshadowed (including back to back dilutive events) are the ones whose motives I’d be questioning.
