It appears car sales generally over October and November 2021 were lower than last year in Australia, predominantly due to these ongoing supply chain and microchip shortages. Interestingly, Subaru car sales remains in the top 10 in Australia for November.
Additionally, it appears that car sales in South Africa - one of the countries that DataDot has its largest market exposure to - was strong in November 2021. This is a 23.4% increase on sales compared to October 2021, and more importantly overall, new car sales to date in South Africa are 23.1% higher than 2020.
