The additional technical information may include full drill logs and a better description of the expected geometry of the spectacular high grade semi massive sulphide breccia. To better align the market with the geological interpretation.
Don't be fooled into thinking it isn't real because they have no assays. Chalcopyrite is 34.5% copper. They have not released estimates of the % chalcopyrite for the core in the photo or the drill chips. That is because it is unrealistic to give false accuracy to such estimates. The geologists might record an estimate as: trace, 0-1%, 1-3%, 3-5%, 5-10%, 10-20%, 20-30% and so on. Within these broad bands the estimate of chalcopyrite % will be a high degree of certainty for an experienced geologist, there are even published % estimate charts to compare against. Many other companies release visual information if it is significant. For example the drill section below from SPQ showing the % chalcopyrite in the drill holes and this was an important discovery which led to shares going up substantially.
So having looked at the core and RC chips and come up with 30% chalcopyrite the geologists know that 34.5% of that is actual copper. When you see it over 24m you know you have a spectacular high grade intersection of copper. If you don't release this information to the market you can be accused of withholding from the market information that is material. Materiality is a well known concept. If you release something that just says "we hit some copper sulphides" you could also be accused of misleading the market because the market is not informed on how significant and material the discovery is. Imagine what the HC posters will say if the drillers mates start buying because they know the real story. By making the announcements in a timely manner they have avoided any question of insider trading/knowledge.
