I mostly agree with you on holding results until into the new year. This can be done under disclosure rules as a first "batch" of results may not paint a an accurate picture of that batch and data from the next batch may be sought to confirm a result to the market.

Directors need to be careful in formulating a price sensitive announcement as these are taken seriously by ASIC monitors and corporate law charges can follow for misleading and deceptive conduct.
