I confirmed with Dano recently what the theoretical green iron production capacity would be using the BSIET proposed dry magnetic beneficiation plant.

Per the latest announcement, this proposed beneficiation plant would have the capacity to produce 1 million tonnes pa of 63%fe concentrate.

The green iron subsequently produced in the rotary kiln had 94.46%fe.

I understood this to mean 1.5 tonnes of concentrate could produce 1 tonne of pig iron (94%/63%). Dano agreed.

So if the entire 1 million tonnes of 63%fe concentrate was fed into the rotary kiln to produce green pig iron, approx 660,000 tonnes pa of pig iron could be output (1,000,000/1.5).
Dano suggested for the initial phase of the project they'd likely aim for between 500,000 to 700,000 pig iron tonnes pa.
