I think to make the sale for shareholders attractive they need to break the company to at least bnpl/ credit cards and then leasing and even on geographic basis. If they can sell off NZ leasing, then Aus leasing, it takes away parts that don't gel for most suitors, then its left with credit cards and BNPL.
C'mon Consolidated Operations Group - COG for the leasing, BOQ/ Bendigo Bank for credit cards and Sezzle/ Affirm for BNPL.
Depending on whoever knows Corp Law on this forum, HUM could sell BNPL division to someone because its not the main undertaking/ operating division of the company from a revenue and net profit basis, it is NZ Cards being the main revenue and profit earner. This could be done hopefully without a shareholder vote. It does have the biggest receivables though for BNPL of all divisions.
Hopefully AA gives the investments firms a reason to work through the xmas period in terms of competing votes.
I hope Wylie's investment banking skills come into play to maneouver (yeah can't spell) a creative means to release value.
Do your own research, i dont know accounting or law.
